ADD/ADHD Specialization
in I Teach To Reach LLC.
The Teach To Reach Coaching Program provides a supplemental ADHD coach training program for experienced coaches who meet the requirements outlined in the Teach To Reach Coaching Application. This program is designed to ensure consistent use of protocols and to provide coaches with the necessary skills and tools to coach students and young adults.
Specifically, the program focuses on
special coaching techniques for working with students and young adults;
the unique needs of students and young adults;
the special challenges presented by ADHD; and
the unique needs of students and young adults in academic settings.
Successful completion of this training program results in a training certificate as an approved Teach To Reach coach.
To participate in this Teach To Reach Coaching training, you must have successfully completed a minimum of 60 hours of ICF-approved coach training and have at least two years of professional coaching experience with a minimum of ten clients, as outlined in the Teach To Reach Coaching Program
Program Elements
Candidates accepted into the program are expected to complete the following requirements:
20-25 hours of training
Completion of course materials
Completion of selected readings
Post-training supervision by coach trainers: Supervision involves a weekly group telephone session and monthly training sessions via teleconference for all the Teach To Reach coaches.
Training includes a full 20-25 hour course focused on coaching students and young adults with ADHD. This course will be provided in different regions of the country at different times of the year or by teleconference. Each participant is required to complete selected readings in addition to the course material. This unique training program focuses on training the "whole person," not just the academic student or young adult.
The Teach To Reach Coaching Program sponsored training program is designed to ensure quality and consistent use of protocols and to provide coaches with the necessary skills and tools to coach students and young adults.
Upon successful completion of the program, participating coaches will begin to receive referrals from the Teach To Reach Coaching programs to students and young adults interested in coaching.
